The Citrus reticulata ‘Satsuma’ is a premium mandarin variety known for its early harvest and delicious, seedless fruits. This variety is particularly suitable for the European climate due to its excellent flavor and high cold tolerance.
Care
Place the plant in a warm, sunny, and sheltered spot. The Satsuma requires regular watering during the summer months, but always ensure excellent drainage in the pot. For healthy growth and a bountiful harvest, we recommend applying specialized citrus fertilizer weekly during the growing season.
Hardiness
This mandarin is very hardy and can survive temperatures down to approximately -10°C when planted in the ground. When grown in a pot, it is advisable to provide extra protection during severe frost or temporarily move it to a bright, frost-free room.
