The solitary growing Yucca filifera is a stem-forming plant with a height of 10-15 meters. The stiff, rough, green leaves up to 1m long form fibres on the leaf margins.
The drooping, branched flower stem is 1 to 1.5 m long. The white, cream-coloured, spherical or bell-shaped flowers have a length of about 3-6 cm and a diameter of 1.5 to 2.5 cm.
