Origin

• Schisandra chinensis ‘Sadova’ is a selected cultivar of the common Schisandra chinensis (five-flavor berry).
• Originated in Ukraine as an improved, productive selection.
• The base species comes from North China, the Russian Far East, Korea, and Japan.
• ‘Sadova No. 1’ was specially developed for garden culture and has a higher yield and better fruit set.
