Specifications & Care

• Location: Full sun to very bright indirect light. Preferably place the plant in front of a south-facing window. In summer, it can be moved outdoors to a warm, sheltered spot.
• Minimum temperature: 12°C to 15°C. Absolutely protect the tree from frost, cold, and drafts.
• Water requirements: Very moderate. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, the baobab goes into dormancy and loses its leaves; give almost no water during this period to prevent root rot.
• Soil composition: Very well-draining, poor soil (e.g., cactus soil mixed with perlite or pumice).
